The End of Spring
from the Black Book Two
the marching song
of bumblebees -
drones on 527
gentle breeze -
sweet sage flowers
brightening the day 528
another
lonely road
to walk 533
so clever fly -
writing your name
as you go 535
in willows shadow
colder and colder -
water rushes 540
spring sunlight
upon the pine needles -
so much like snow 541
higher and higher
dandelion soars -
a forever sky 542
between seconds
between pine needles -
a dragonfly pause 544
in the forest
a seven note bird -
or is it six? 547
not much to look at
yet my gaze drawn back -
sage flowers 548
watching the bee
fly away small and smaller -
lost now in shadow 549
