Geisha
From the Black Book Two
outside
the Geisha house
red lanterns sway 451
so much blossom -
the sky
is pink 452
passing Geisha -
men wait
for a glance 453
under the blossom -
Geishas lips, cherries
both red 454
pouring tea -
the Geisha
turns the cup 455
kanzashi at rest -
combing her hair
this side then that 456
eyes downcast
but then a smile -
a Geisha's business 458
brushing blossom
off her kimono -
what pride! 459
through old Edo
everything in order -
Geisha steps 460
