Summer Sky
From the Book of Seven Syllables
summer sky
wiping stationary birds
from my glasses 54
whitebait
we talk longer
than the fish 55
taste of spring
sparrow chances
a first look 58
afternoon sun
in that moment
a monks life 59
unseen worth
from the path
forest bloom 60
tractor
bow wave
of field mice 65
only visible
with the lights off
night sky 66
drizzly day
overturned roses
in pots 67V
lava fields
the incongruity
of flowers 69*
a gale
tethered to
the long drop 70*
living all this time
waiting for spring flowers
to arrive 72
