Spring Has Arrived
from the Black Book Two
crickets lost
singing songs of woe
in the long grasses 357
the flowers and I
following the garden path -
the scent of lavender 358
dark steps
up the hill -
no closer to the moon 359
after the spring rain -
well hidden from the old path
Rhododendrons bloom 364
another wet day
counting syllables softly
in time with the rain 367
Whakaipo Bay -
stones slipping through my fingers
the waves come and go 370
no longer hearing
the waves crashing on the beach -
pouring thoughts on the sand 376
the sun sets -
by the green plum
the smallest bee 380
